Mostly Idaho

Idaho and Nevada

Idaho sure offers a varied topography. Most of the photos below are from Idaho, with one of a ranch in Nevada.  The Craters of the Moon in Idaho is an eerie place, aptly named  after the moon's landscape; unfortunately, my photos do not do it justice, but one might get the flavor of it. Nature is amazing. How tenacious life must be to take root in that inhospitable volcanic soil.

I mostly go by the name Michael Hutchings, sometimes: V. Michael Hutchings, sometimes Vernon or Vernon M. Hutchings. I love politics, history, and technology. I grew up in Westland, MI, moved to New Hampshire, then to Colorado; and finally, settled down in Vermont. Retired. Every day is a Saturday.
